In-situ environmental monitoring

• Microclimate: Smart land management can significantly improve local microclimates. Monitoring heat islands or plot humidity allows you to adapt practices based on their real impact on hydrology and drought resilience. We provide this monitoring by integrating data from on-site sensors with remote sensing technology (i.e., satellite, LiDAR).
  
• Biodiversity: Wildlife calls and songs are powerful indicators of biodiversity over time. To complement the work of naturalists, fold ecosystemics has developed a bioacoustics tool for continuous monitoring of biodiversity indicators. This allows you to assess the impact of management interventions—such as maintenance, harvesting, or restoration, in near real-time.
  
• Birds, bats, and other species: Bird and bat populations are excellent indicators of ecosystem health, but establishing long-term surveys with experienced ornithologists over large geographical areas can be challenging. Our solar-powered monitoring platform enables bioacoustic inventories of birds and bats for effective long-term tracking
